Gymlette is a workout and health tracking app. This policy explains what data the app handles and where it goes. Short version: your data lives on your device; nothing is sold or shared with advertisers.
Workouts, meals, body measurements, and settings are stored locally on your device. If you never sign in, this data never leaves it (aside from optional iCloud device backup managed by iOS).
If you sign in with Google, your app data is backed up to Google Firebase (Firestore), readable only by your account. You can restore, overwrite, or permanently delete this backup — and delete your account — at any time in Settings. Account deletion removes your cloud data immediately.
With your permission, Gymlette reads and writes data via Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android): steps, heart rate, sleep, weight, body fat, blood pressure, and workouts. Health data is used only to display and record your activity; it is not transmitted to our servers or third parties, and is never used for advertising. You can revoke access at any time in your device's health settings.
If you use meal-photo or workout-journal scanning, the photo you choose is sent to Google's Gemini API (via Firebase) to be analyzed, and the result is returned to your device. Photos are not stored by Gymlette after processing.
If you connect Strava, completed workout summaries you choose to share are posted to your Strava account using Strava's API. Gymlette does not read your Strava activities.
The app collects anonymous usage events (e.g. "workout completed") via Google Analytics for Firebase and crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics, used solely to improve the app. No advertising identifiers are used.
No selling of data. No advertising networks. No sharing of personal or health data with third parties beyond the services listed above, which act as processors for app functionality.

If you join our closed Android beta, we may email you when a new internal Play build is ready (install steps and what’s new). You can leave that list anytime via the unsubscribe link in those emails. Leaving the list stops future build emails; we keep a minimal record so we do not re-add you by mistake. For full erasure of that record, contact us at the address below.
